It all started in 2007 when we got our first reptile. One day we were at the local pet store and saw this green lizard and just loved it from the start. I just loved the little green lizard. Every time we visited that store it always came up to the glass and only for us. Any other person that walked up to the tank it ran and hid and I knew then that I wanted to get it. But before I got it I knew I had to do lots of research. Knowing that I wanted to get it I went ahead and put a down payment on the lizard and they took it to there back-room and left it there till we were ready to get it. It took about 3-6 months of research before we were ready to get it.
Now I know that you are wondering what it was that we got. Well lets just say that it was one of the most advanced lizards to start with. No not an iguana. Its a Chinese water dragon, yep pretty hard to keep but we were up for the challenge. We spoke to many people and the size of the baby we were told that it would do best in a ten gallon tank. I wanted to do a little customization and add a custom built top to extend the height and the owner said that would be fine. Later that year we got a corn snake from a known pet store which ended up dying from internal parasites. We were so devastated that we did not buy from there again for over a year not even dog food.
